What to do if your client wants to complete their check in the office
When a client physically shows you their ID document, we still recommend that you use the Thirdfort app to ensure the ID is real and that their face matches it closely. Remember, Thirdfort's tech is much more effective at spotting inconsistencies on a document than the human eye.
Things to consider if your client is completing a Thirdfort check in the office.
Ensure that your client brings their device and all documentation they may need |
Initiate the check to your clients mobile number even if the device they are using to complete the check is not theirs. |
Ensure you have the completed report before your client leaves the office |
Delete the app once you have received the completed report so the data is no longer stored on the device. |
If the client wishes to perform the checks in your office ideally they should do this on their own smartphone or device.
If you do not wish to use Thirdfort for clients that come into your office, you should always close the activity to ensure they stop getting chaser text messages. Please view our article on Chaser Text Messages for guidance.
Should your client have no access to a device, we have alternative options that do not require them to use a device. The Lite Screening check and Identity Document Verification check do not require your client to use the app but still allow you to verify: the authenticity of their ID document; their PEP and Sanctions status; and their address.
