Get rid of the PEP, Sanctions or Adverse Media matches that don't relate to your client
Please note, the following information may only be applicable if you order your checks via thirdfort.com.
To start dismissing hits that don't relate to your client, just go to the client's activity page by following the link in the notification email, or searching for the activity on the dashboard. Scroll down to the activity details section, and click where it says 'PEPs and Sanctions' to expand the section.
If the marker next to this section is green, then there will be no matches to review.
Step 1: Review results
In order to ascertain which hits are actually in relation to your client, you'll need to review the information in the PEP & Sanctions report to ascertain whether they relate to you client.
To access the latest PEP and Sanctions report, click the icon next to the latest timestamp. This is the latest information on this client's PEP and Sanctions hits, which is updated after any new hits are discovered with Ongoing Monitoring, or unrelated hits dismissed.
Step 2: Dismiss unrelated hits
Once you've ascertained which hits don't relate to your client, you can get rid of them from the report and from being monitored. Next to each match listed on the portal, on the right-hand side of the page, you'll see button that says 'Dismiss'.
Click this button, enter a reason and press enter to mark a match for dismissal. The page should now look like the below.
Once you have marked all unrelated PEP and Sanctions hits for dismissal, please review this before submitting to ensure they have been marked correctly. Dismissals cannot be undone. Once you're happy with your selection, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Submit' to finalise:
Step 3: Download and review updated report
Once unrelated matches have been dismissed, we'll create a new PEP and Sanctions report that highlights only the active matches. To download this, click the icon next to the latest timestamp under the PEP and Sanctions section of the activity details.
In this report, your active and new matches will be displayed at the top. Dismissed matches will be delineated right at the bottom of the report. Please note that we will not provide Ongoing Monitoring updates for hits which have been dismissed.
