TLDR: Thirdfort's ID verification and Lite Screening tools check clients for sanctions, PEP status, regulatory warnings, fitness, and adverse media. Screening results appear in the client's ID check report, with detailed match information including type, status, and source links. Matches are ordered by relevance, and users can dismiss incorrect matches, which are then excluded from ongoing monitoring.
Screening Results
Thirdforts ID verification and Lite Screening tools screen your clients for:
- Sanctions.
- Whether they are a politically exposed person (PEP) or a relative or close associate of a PEP.
- Any regulatory enforcements or warnings.
- Fitness & probity.
- Adverse Media (displayed only when there is a PEP
or sanction match)
Reviewing Screening Results
Screening matches can be viewed from your client's ID check activity page, and in the completed PDF report. A summary of the screening results will be displayed on the second page of the ID report under the ID Check Summary section.
Screening Overview
Further information on any potential matches will be displayed in the Screening Overview section of the report. Here you will find:
- The name match and date of birth (if recorded)
- The flag type e.g. Warning
- The type of match (this may be exact, partial, or fuzzy)
- Activation Date and Status
- Information sourced directly from the relevant database
- URL links to the source database information*
*We rely on these organisations to maintain these links and therefore cannot guarantee that these links will be active. Depending on the source, it is also possible that these links may not be in English. A translation will be provided where possible.
What order are matches displayed in?
PEP, Sanctions and Adverse Media matches are displayed on our reports in order of relevance. Relevance is classified by the closeness of the name match and date of birth match.
Eg. an exact name and date of birth match will be at the top of our list, and a similar-sounding name that has only a year of birth match or no date of birth record on file will be towards the bottom of the list.
Dismissed Matches
You can use the ‘Dismiss’ function to rule out any results that you’re confident are not your client. This function sits on your client's activity details page on our web portal. We’ll then collect information such as who dismissed the result and the reason why. We’ll also timestamp this for you.
Dismissed results are moved to a separate section of your report along with the audit trail. If you have set up ongoing monitoring on this client, we will not monitor any dismissed results.
