Creating a Source of Funds check on the CDD platform
Source of funds checks can be initiated quickly and easily via the Thirdfort platform.
- Click the blue “Create check” button on the right hand side or use the left hand navigation menu by selecting “New activity” and then “Identity check” or “Source of funds” (the standalone Source of funds menu item will only be visible if you do not have ID checks enabled).
- Select an Organisation and Team for the check
- Enter a file reference for your check (this will appear at the top of the PDF report, on the all checks table and the check details page on the CDD platform
- Select the purpose of the check. For source of funds you’ll select Conveyancing or Property Services from this list:
- Conveyancing
- Property Services
- Legal Services
- Financial Services
- Other
- Select who the check is for from the list, for source of funds, select Purchaser, Giftor or Property other.
- Seller
- Purchaser
- Giftor
- Property other
- Enter the details of who the check is for (the subject of the check, typically your clients details)
- Full name
- Mobile number (including country code)
- Your client's email address
- Property address or reason for the Source of Funds check. (Your client will see this when completing their ID check and tasks.)
- Select the required ID check type and toggle on Source of funds if you would like to initiate ID verification and source of funds together or select standalone Source of funds (without an ID check).
- Enhanced NFC ID check [hyperlink to Enhanced NFC client help centre section] + Source of funds
- Original ID check [hyperlink to Original ID client help centre section] + Source of funds
- Source of Funds (without an ID check)
- Select whether you require additional documents from the list below
- Proof of address
- Ongoing monitoring - screening
- Click the Submit button to initiate the check
