TLDR: Thirdfort lets users link co-purchaser and giftor checks during initiation or afterward. Links can be viewed in check details and source of funds results, while existing connections can be created or removed from the source of funds panel.
How to manage linked co-purchaser and giftor checks on Thirdfort
How are co-purchaser and giftor checks linked on Thirdfort?
On Thirdfort, you can link relevant verifications together, using simultaneous initiation or by linking checks after they've been sent to your clients. Check linking gives you the ability to navigate between every individual you've verified, or need to verify, as part of a single transaction.
How do I connect checks?
You can initiate a check that will connect to another check in two ways:
- By initiating multiple checks simultaneously by selecting more than one purchaser and entering their details on the check initiation page.
- Via the source of funds review pages left hand panel, where you can select "link giftor" or "link co-purchaser" and connect to the relevant check.
Where can I see connections between checks?
Connections between checks can be viewed in two places:
- In the header of the "Check details page" when there is a linked co-purchaser or giftor check you'll see "with [Name]". Clicking on the names shown will take you to the check details page for that individual.
- When you're viewing source of funds results, in the panel on the left hand side of the page, you'll see a list of all linked co-purchasers under the header "co-purchasers" and all declared or linked giftors under the heading "giftors".
How to initiate multiple co-purchaser checks at the same time
When you require verification on multiple purchasers as part of a single transaction, you can initiate multiple checks at once. On the check initiation page, under "How many purchasers", select the number of purchasers and enter details of each purchaser. When you submit the check, the system will initiate the checks simultaneously and they will be linked as co-purchasers in the results.
How to link or unlink existing co-purchaser or giftor checks
To create or remove a link between two existing checks, navigate to the source of funds results page (via the check details page) of one of the relevant checks. In the left hand panel, you'll see a list of co-purchasers and giftors. Select the ‘Link a check’ button to find a check to link. If you create a check on a giftor using the left-hand panel, these checks will automatically be linked. To remove a link, click the link icon and select "unlink" when prompted.
