Digital Right to Rent outcome
This section tells you whether your client's identity has been verified using an eligible document for a digital Right to Rent check. A successful result will show "Successful", along with the document your client said they would use and the document they actually scanned.
Below this, the Digital Right to Rent check information shows the details you need for your records.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date of identity check | The date your client completed the check. |
| Evidence checked by | The organisation that checked your client's evidence. This will show Thirdfort. |
| DVS-registered service | Whether the check was carried out by a provider on the UK Government's digital verification services (DVS) register. |
| DVS register entry | A link to Thirdfort's entry on the DVS register. |
| Trust framework version | The version of the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework the check was carried out under. |
| Right to Rent supplementary code | Whether the provider is certified against the Home Office supplementary code for Right to Rent checks. |
| Code-compliant check | Whether this check meets the requirements of the supplementary code. |
| Identity verified | Whether your client's identity has been verified. |
Identity document verification
Your client will be asked to take a photo of their ID document in the Thirdfort app. The report shows the image of the document, along with the data extracted from it: issuing country, nationality, name, date of birth, date of expiry and document number.
Our software then runs a series of checks on the document to confirm it is genuine and that the details match.
Facial recognition
Facial recognition confirms that the person completing the check is the holder of the ID document. It compares a selfie video your client records in the app with the photo on their document.
Screening for PEPs and sanctions
Your client is screened against politically exposed person (PEP) and sanctions lists. The report shows how many results were found. Select Review screening to view and review any potential matches.
Fraud and risk indicators
This section shows whether your client's details appear on a known fraud database, and whether they have been recorded as a victim of impersonation.
Address verification
Your client's address is checked against Experian's database. The report shows how many address matches were found and whether the quality of those matches is sufficient.
Check information and uploaded documents
At the bottom of the check details page you will find:
- Check initiation information, including the file reference, reason for check, date initiated and who initiated it.
- Uploaded documents, including the facial similarity image and a photo of the ID document. Select Download all documents to save these to your device.
- The activity log, which records every event on the check, such as when it was created, completed and downloaded, and by whom.
