TLDR: Groups let organisation admins manage user notifications for Thirdfort checks and assign Review Tasks to multiple individuals. They can notify users, shared inboxes, or both, and only organisation admins can create, view, edit, or remove groups.
Groups are sets of individual platform users, created and managed within organisation settings.
Groups exist to control who gets notified about Thirdfort checks. Instead of managing notification settings for each user individually, you can group users together and set notification rules once for the whole group.
What can I use groups for?
- Notifications: Ensure notifications about Thirdfort checks are sent to multiple individuals, a shared inbox, or both.
- Review Task assignment: Compliance tier organisations can assign Review Tasks to a specific group of individuals, rather than to one person.
Who can manage groups?
Only organisation admins can create, view, edit, or remove groups.
