TLDR: When setting up a client's Thirdfort check with an email, the client receives an invite email alongside SMS invites. The email includes their name, firm name, app download link, and support contact details. If not received, clients should check spam folders or verify the email address. The app download link is generic, allowing app access anytime, even without the invite email.
Being invited to Thirdfort via email
When setting up your client's app-based Thirdfort check, if an email address is provided, your client will receive an email invite to Thirdfort. This email is sent in addition to the SMS invite and reminder messages.
The email includes the following information for your client:
- Their name
- The name of the firm requesting their check
- A link and instructions to download the Thirdfort app
- Details on how to contact our Support Team via live chat, phone and email.
If your client replies to this email, they will automatically be connected to our Support Team via email at help@thirdfort.com.
My client has not received the email
If your client has advised they have not received the invite email, we recommend they check their junk or spam folders, as the invite can sometimes be misclassified by their email provider. We also recommend checking the email provided when the check was set up, if the wrong email has been provided or if the email address has been misspelt, your client will not receive the invite email.
Your client should also still receive their invite via SMS, including the same information to support them in downloading the Thirdfort app.
Is the link specific to my client?
The link in the email to download Thirdfort is not specific to your client. They can download Thirdfort from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store directly at any time without using the link. This means even if they delete or lose their invite email, they can still access their Thirdfort check.
