TLDR: Thirdfort collects 3, 6, or 12 months of bank statements for Source of Funds and identity verification checks requiring bank statements. The duration depends on the organisation's default setting, with 6 months as the default if none is set. Users may adjust this based on permissions. This applies to all checks including bank statement requests on the new CDD platform.
How many months of bank statements does Thirdfort request?
Thirdfort can request 3, 6, or 12 months of bank statements from your clients. This applies to both Source of Funds checks and identity verification checks where bank statements are requested.
The number of months requested is determined by the default your organisation has configured in Organisation settings. If no default is set, Thirdfort will request 6 months of statements from your clients. Individual users may also be able to adjust this at the point of initiating a check, depending on their user type assigned to them.
Which products does this apply to?
The configured default applies to any check that includes a bank statement request, including:
- Source of Funds
- Identity verification where bank statements are included as a requested document
