TLDR: The review task due date window is configurable at two levels: a firm-wide default set by Organisation Admins, and a team-specific override set by Team Admins. The team override takes precedence, allowing customised turnaround times per team while maintaining a general default for others. This guide applies to Thirdfort Clients on the new CDD platform.
The review task due date window is configurable at two levels
The default two-business-day window is a starting point, not a fixed rule. Both Organisation Admins and Team Admins can adjust the duration from the Organisation Settings page to match the turnaround expectations of their firm or individual teams.
The two configuration levels
| Level | Who can set it | What it controls |
| Per-organisation default | Org Admin | The firm-wide due date window, applied to any team that has not set its own override |
| Per-team override | Team Admin | A duration specific to that team — for example, a tighter window for a Private Client team or a looser one for a routine conveyancing team |
Which setting applies
The team-level override takes precedence whenever one has been set. If no team override exists, the organisation default applies.
This means you can set a firm-wide default that suits most teams, and only configure overrides where a team's workflow genuinely requires a different cadence.
