TLDR: Thirdfort's KYB reports give you a full picture of a business's structure, ownership and risk. KYB reports combine company information, address history, ownership, people, regulatory status, documents, AML screening and five risk indicators, with further details and activity logs. Data is sourced from Dun & Bradstreet with AML screening from LSEG World-Check.
A KYB check brings together company data, ownership structure and risk indicators in one report.
A KYB (Know Your Business) check helps you understand the nature of a business and any associated risk. Below is what you'll find in each section of the report.

Risk indicators
We assess five risk indicators. Each is marked either Clear or Consider.
| Indicator | Marked 'Consider' when... |
|---|---|
| Screening results | A potential screening match has been returned |
| High-risk jurisdiction | The business is registered in a jurisdiction on the FATF high-risk third countries list at the time the check was completed |
| Company not active | The business is not currently active |
| High-risk ownership | One or more ownership links pass through a country on the FATF high-risk third countries list |
| Unresolved owner in the chain | Dun & Bradstreet have returned an owner (someone with 5% or more ownership) but do not have the individual or entities name on record. In the ownership chart you will see ‘Not reported’ in place of one or more of the names. |
Anti-money laundering (AML) screening
AML screening can be accessed from the Overview or Risk indicators tabs. We screen the entity using our data provider, LSEG World-Check. Any potential hits trigger a Consider result.
