TLDR: The CCJ & Insolvency check uses Experian's UK Public Information data to reveal County Court Judgments, bankruptcy and insolvency records, debt arrangements, and Child Maintenance Orders. It does not include credit account history, credit applications, the Voters Roll, mortality files, or PEP/Sanctions data.
Sources used for CCJ & Insolvency checks
Drawing from Experian's UK Public Information data (the same bureau dataset that underpins the Electronic Address Match), the CCJ & Insolvency check looks specifically at:
| Source | What it surfaces |
| Court Judgement records (satisfied and unsatisfied) | County Court Judgments registered against your client |
| Bankruptcy & insolvency records (satisfied and unsatisfied) | Bankruptcies and other insolvency events |
| Debt arrangement records | IVAs, Debt Relief Orders and other formal debt management arrangements |
| Child Maintenance Order records (satisfied and unsatisfied) | Active and historic CMOs |
What's not checked?
Credit account history (CAIS), credit applications (CAPS), the Voters Roll, mortality files, and PEP/Sanctions data are not part of the CCJ & Insolvency check. Some of those — including mortality and Royal Mail NCOA flags — are surfaced separately in the Electronic Address Match Report.
