TLDR: The CCJ & Insolvency check identifies financial risk indicators such as active and satisfied County Court Judgments, insolvency records (bankruptcies, IVAs, Debt Relief Orders), and Child Maintenance Orders. It matches records using client details and is powered by Experian, providing bank-grade public information without needing a separate report. This guide is for Thirdfort clients on the new CDD platform.
County Court Judgments (CCJs) and insolvency checks
The CCJ & Insolvency check helps you identify financial risk indicators against your client's identity. It looks for:
- County Court Judgments (CCJs): both active and satisfied
- Insolvency records: including bankruptcies, IVAs and Debt Relief Orders
- Child Maintenance Orders: (CMOs)
Records are matched to your client using the name, date of birth and address they provide in the app. The check is powered by the same Experian relationship that underpins the Electronic Address Match Report, giving you bank-grade public information data without needing to run a separate report.
